As the National Basketball Association “NBA” unveils the newly formatted of awards started 2021-2022 season, Warriors eliminated the Dallas Mavericks “120-110” in game 5, the Golden State Warriors were the first team in the new format as Western Conference Champions named after Oscar Robertson.
This is the sixth NBA Finals Appearance of the Golden State Warriors in eight years, they also had 5 consecutive years in the finals from 2015-19, winning titles in 2015, 2017 and 2018.

Stephen Curry is the first NBA player to receive the Magic Johnson trophy as the Western Conference finals MVP, this is also his first Finals MVP.
Throughout the series Stephen Curry finished with and average of 23.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 7.4 assists per game.
