After 14 years since joining PBA, the Meralco Bolts can finally call themselves, PBA CHAMPIONS, as they dethrone San Miguel with a final score of 80-78 in the PBA All Filipino Cup, thanks for the leadership of Chris Newsome and led the Bolts with an average of 22.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.
Chris Newsome, who already battled 4 PBA finals losses as Bolts in the hands of Barangay Ginebra Sanmiguel now earns his first Finals MVP as he finished with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists including the dagger shot to end the series.
