List of Possible Tropical Cyclones to enter PAR in 2024

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration “PAGASA” announced the list of possible Tropical Cyclones in 2024 that will enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

Philippines is prone to typhoon due to its location in the Northwestern Pacific Basin, Philippines average 20 cyclones each year.
PAGASA used these names in a 4 year cycle for instance the list of names below will be also used in the year 2028, 2032, 2036, 2040,2044 and so on.

7. Gener
8. Helen
9. Igme
10. Julian
11. Kristine
12. Leon
13. Marce
14. Nika
15. Ofel
16. Pepito
17. Querubin

19. Siony
20. Tonyo
21. Upang
22. Vicky
23. Warren
24. Yoyong
25. Zosimo

Each year contains about 25 tropical cyclone names, PAGASA also listed 10 extra names in case all 25 Tropical Cyclones already used.

Vulnerable places usually hit by Typhoon are Zambales, Catanduanes, Eastern Samar, Aurora, Northern Samar, Ilocos Sur, Mindoro, Pangasinan.
