Manila, Philippines – Serbia secured a ticket to the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup final after eliminating team CANADA in their semi-final match “95-86” at the Mall of Asia Arena on September 8, 2023.
Bogdan Bogdanovic led Serbia with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals, Nikola Milutinov with 16 points and 10 rebounds, Ognjen Dobric also added 16 points. Serbia is shooting 62% from the field and 45 % from the 3-point line.
Serbia will play against Germany in Gold Medal match who also upset the USA team, This is the 4th time Serbia will play in the Gold Medal match in Fiba World Cup, they already won a Gold Medal in 1998, 2002 and a Silver Medal in 2014.
RJ Barrett led Canada with 23 points, while Dillon Brooks also added 16 points and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 15 points and 9 assists.
