Mark Magsayo the 5’6 inch has an excellent record of 24-0 now after beating Gary Russell in a majority decision, the 26-year old Magsayo is now the new WBC featherweight champion. Magsayo is expecting a huge payout after the fights since his professional debut against Melton Sandal on May 25, 2013.

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman explained that Magsayo will not have a chance of an optional fight because he contracted the obligations of the previous champion, who had already been notified to face Vargas.
