Down 18 points at the half, Gilas Pilipinas take down the host country in the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China outscoring China 47-28 in the 2nd half (77-76), Gilas Naturalized Justine Brownlee Spark in the 3rd quarter and led all the way in the final quarter starting to hit three consecutive triple. Gilas outscored China 27-14 in the 4th quarter booking a Gold Medal match against a Jordan national team.
Jordan will also play for the first time in history to a Gold Medal match in Asian games, they booked a ticket after beating Chinese Taipei (90-71) in semi-finals.
As per interview Coach Tim Cone could not believe as they lost hope in the first half with the team down by 18 points, he also added that his player stays focused as a result they upset the host nation.
