Manila, Philippines – USA basketball came up victorious after a massive comeback against Nikola Jokic (SERBIA). USA defeated Serbia 95-91 in their semi-final match-up to advance to Gold Medal Match against the host nation France in Paris OLYMPICS 2024.
USA trailed most of the game 25-42 at 6minute frame in the second period and a 13 points behind 63-76 going into the final period.
Heroes of USA basketball come to the rescue in the final period as LeBron James added to his resume with another triple-double in OLYMPICS with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Stephen Curry delivered his best performance with 36points, 9 of 14 in 3 point line shooting, including 8 rebounds. Joel Embiid also added 19points.
USA rallied back in the final period outscored Serbia (32-15). Bogdan Bogdanovic and Nikola Jokic led Serbia with 20 and 17 points respectively. Serbia will now face current FIBA World Cup champion Germany to a Bronze medal match.
