Taiwan will offer NT$100,000 starting January 01, 2026 subsidy for newborns.

Taipei, Taiwan — Taiwan’s government will launch a birth subsidy program starting on January 01, 2026, amounting to NT$100,000 or (US$3,300) per newborn to address Taiwan’s falling birthrate.

As of 2025 population growth rate of Taiwan is -0.44% according to the Population Pyramid with a current total population of 23,112,797. Based on Population Pyramid Working age population will be less than 60% of total population at year 2041.

Elderly Population will be 38.74% in the year of 2050 with the growth rate of -1.02%.
