Taipei, Taiwan — The Ministry of Labor (MOL) raised the monthly minimum wage by 4%. The Minimum Wage Act will take effect next year 2025. The ministry of labor held its first minimum wage review following implementation on Wednesday (Sept. 4 2024).
Taiwan’s monthly wage now will increase from NT$27,470 (US$855) to NT$28,590 an increase of 4%. Hourly minimum wage also increased by 3.8% from NT$183 to NT$190.
This wage hike is the 9th consecutive since President Tsai Ing-wen took office in 2016, read also here the wage increased last year.
