LeBron James became the second player and the youngest to reach 37,000 career points in the NBA behind Kareem Abdul Jabbar. LeBron James hit a triple at the 6:23 mark in the second period to reach a 37,000 milestone.

LeBron James reaches fewer games than Kareem Abdul Jabbar, he only needs 1,365 games while Jabbar 1,441 games to reach 37,000 points.

Just less than a week ago, LeBron James surpassed Karl Malone with the most points in NBA history.

James is only 37 years old, while Kareem Abdul Jabbar is 40 years old to hit 37,000 points.

LeBron James finished the game with 39 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assist in a loss to New Orleans Pelicans “116-108” at the Smoothie King Center Arena. LeBron James now only behind by 1,364 points on Kareem Adbul Jabbar to become all time scoring leaders.

LeBron James is also the youngest player to ever reach 1,000 points to 37,000 points.
