Manila, Philippines – After an epic run, Germany will play for the first in Fiba World Cup Finals against the hungry Serbian team who also defeated the loaded Canadian Team in semi-finals.
Coming into the Gold Medal match, Germany who knockout the loaded USA in semi-finals led by Dennis Schroder, still unbeaten in the FIBA WORLD CUP 2023 with “7-0” record.
Last time they face each other Germany won in double-overtime “82-81” over Serbia in the 2010 FIBA World Cup Group A meeting, in short this is the First time these two teams meet in Fiba World Cup Finals.
Both Serbia and Germany already secured a ticket in Paris, France Olympics 2024 as the top 2 teams in the European region.
On the other-hand, Serbia will play their 4th Fiba World Cup finals, Serbia also demolished the Lithuanian team who handed the USA First loss in the second round.
BRONZE MATCH
As the world watching this current Fiba World Cup, they thought that it will be a star-studded Gold Medal match, but unfortunately both teams got eliminated in the semi-finals and will play each other for the bronze medal.
The gold medal match will take place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines it will start at 4:30pm Manila Time between Canada and USA for the bronze medal and the clash between Serbia and Germany at 8:30pm Manila time.
