Manila, Philippines – Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Eli Remolona was the highest-paid government official in 2024, according to the Commission on Audit (COA) data.
The commission’s 2024 Report on Salaries and Allowances (ROSA), released on May 26 showed the list of Government Officials with the highest paid, BSP Governor Eli Remolona had a salary amounting P47,968,744.27 gross of tax in 2024.
The report also provides the breakdown of his salary.
- Basic salary – P12 million
- Personnel Economic Relief Allowance (PERA) and Additional Compensation (AdCom)/Honorarium – P24,000
- Allowances – P14,942,923.02
- Bonus, incentives, benefits – P18,761,805.71
- Discretionary and Extraordinary and Miscellaneous Expenses – P2,240,015.54
- Indirect benefits – P7,080,000.00
Remolona was followed by BSP Deputy Governor Chuchi Fonacier with a salary of (30,392,497.52), former BSP Deputy Governor Francisco G. Dakila, Jr is on the 3rd with (P28,823948.63), BSP Deputy Governor Elmore Capule (₱26,536,981.86), and BSP Monetary Board Member Romeo Bernardo (P26,034,456.02).
