Aira Villegas will take home the Bronze medal in the women’s 50kg boxing category after losing against the no. 3 seed from Turkey Buse Naz Cakiroglu in the semi-final match.
Early in the first round Aira’s received a standing eight-count that cause Aira’s losing the match with 5-0 scorecard at the end.
Despite the loss Aira’s secured a Bronze Medal in her first ever Olympic Games, joining 2 Gold Medalist in Gymnastics Carlos Yulo.
