Super Typhoon Rai “Odette” crashed into the country’s southeastern islands on Thursday afternoon, with a wind of about 195km/h (120mph).
Typhoon Odette with International Codename “Rai” first landfall Siargao Island On December 16, 2021 at 1:30pm the state weather bureau reported
As the typhoon approaches the Visayas area, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) lifted Tropical Cyclone Warning System No. 4 in some areas of Cebu.
As Typhoon Rai is projected to make another landfall in the Vicinity of Sibonga Cebu at 11:00pm with a win speeds of up to 195 kph with a gustiness reaching 240kph per cdn news.

Scientists have long warned that typhoons are becoming more powerful and strengthening more rapidly as the world becomes warmer because of human-driven climate change.
