Gilas Pilipinas who trailed as much as 15 points under 4 minutes in the final period, rallied and cut the deficit to “68-73”, but Gerson Domingos silenced the crowd with a clutch triple to extend the led to “68-76” under a minute in the final period.
Gilas Pilipinas who led by 8 points early in the first period, still had no punch in the end. Jordan Clarkson led the Gilas and the only player with double digit with 21 points, 7 assists with 3 rebounds in 7 of 22 shooting.
Gilas Pilipinas now had a little chance to advance to the next round after losing this game, a must win for the Gilas against the Italian squad next game.
